Kristina Kipp is currently a Systems engineers at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory(JPL). As a Systems Engineer represents all the different parts of a Mission to make sure it works perfectly and it all fits together. She works with all the other engineers and other disciplines. She is currently working on the 2020 rover mission. She also works on planning for all the Future Mars Missions.
In high school she loved Physics math and always has a dream of being an astronaut. She went to Princeton University for her undergraduate and majored in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. For her graduate degree she went to Georgia Tech and majored in Aerospace engineering. Her favorite classes throughout college were Spacecraft Design and Orbital Mechanics(which she specialized in). She thought it would be amazing if she could work on NASA mission and now does exactly that. Kristina's favorite part about her job is that she works with amazing people at JPL and loves landing things on other planets(who wouldn't love that?). Like most engineers she loves to solve problems and help others. In her work she faces challenges like that involve size, power, mass and more. She never has a dull day in her office. |
