Krista is a Microbiologist at AMGEN, the World's largest independent Biotechnology Company. AMGEN strives to serve patients by transforming the promise of science and biotechnology into therapies that have the power to restore health or even save lives. She works in the AMGEN lab and researches data for drugs and processes. She works with Chinese Hamster Ovary cells. Krista studies the biology of a system to make new drugs.
She loved biology and bacteria. Krista went to The University of British Columbia in Canada and obtained a BS in Microbiology and Immunology. One of her classes was an 8-week work-study program in Bioprocess. She discovered she liked working in research and in a lab. She loves her job because of the people she works with and she loves problem solving. Krista loves helping others. |
